Make The Holidays Work For Your Business

by KellyBax Baxter Leave a Comment

Holidayswork_2 Tis the season to be jolly. Well, you know the rest. Most everybody will be caught up in the holiday season for the rest of this year. How can you make this work for your home business?

This is a great time of year to run promotions. Consumers will be spending a lot of money and love to find deals. If you can, offer discounts on your products or services. Give your promotion a holiday theme name to help attract searchers.

Everyone loves to win something so you could have a holiday contest. It could be a competition or a drawing and that helps your customers to feel like you are a company that gives back. It also adds a little fun!

Is there a hot product or toy (make sure it is lead free) this year? You could find a way to promote this hot product or you could make it the prize in your contest. Research what is popular right now and somehow incorporate it into your business.

If you are a little creative, you can make the holidays work for your business. Corporate America does, why not you?

by KellyBax Baxter 2 Comments

Askme This is the unofficial "Ask Kelly" section. I am interested in learning about our readers. This is a call for as much reader feedback as you can throw at me.

Here are some things that I would like to know:

1) What type of work from home job do you have?

2) How long have you been working from home?

3) Do you have your own business or do you telecommute for an employer?

4) What topics would you like to read about here?

5) Do you have a great work from home story to share?

6) What do you want to know that will help you with your business?

If you ask me to research a particular topic for you, I will! If you have something interesting to share, send me an email with the story and I might share it here. Now please, bombard me with your stories and your interests and let’s get the unofficial "Ask Kelly" section started!

You can comment here and you can also send an email to me at kb@kellfinder.com. Thank you and I very much look forward to hearing from you.

National Work from Home Week

by Miranda Marquit 5 Comments

It seems that just about everything has its own week. The same is true of home business owners. This week has been National Work from Home Week. Well, It’s not really over until Sunday. There are all sorts of formal events happening, and Yvonne Russell over at Home Biz Notes has 2 great ideas for what you can do to celebrate National Work from Home Week:

1. Find home business owners in your area (maybe even plan a party or luncheon)

2. Go online and network with others who work from home

And remember, you don’t have to do this only during National Work from Home Week. These are great ideas that work anytime.
