This bag makes an ideal make up bag, especially when the weather is warm and the heat is getting to all of those expensive cosmetics. It is similar to a cooler bag, which you would take on picnics. It even has its own little gel pack, that is placed in the freezer when not in use and then into the bag when you need to go out.

Mixing work, parenting and home life

For some this could be the impossible dream, running your whole life from home with no need to leave unless you really want to. Of course on the other hand for some it could be as bad as being in prison.

But mixing home, parenting and work is very serious, especially where work is concerned, after all with no income the dream is over. Which is why it was so interesting to find this site Parents Place it deals mainly with parenting, but also there is this posting “Blending working and parenting” it tackles the problems of organizing yourself etc.

There is one section that tells us of IBM and how one in five employees now works from home, well done IBM. But there is another bit; it is regarding younger workers who nowadays are so in tune with what is going on, that they do not even ask about working from home, they demand it!! Good on them.

Be a closet organizer

Closets are very handy until they reach the point where the doors cannot be closed any more. At that point they all of a sudden become a nightmare, so what can you do about this? Like everything else closets need to be organized, yet there are many people, including myself! Who would not even know where to start, which is a real problem.

However there is a place that deals with this particular problem, found via Home Office Woman, the site is called Home Decorating Reviews and on the many pages there is a section dedicated to organizing closet space. It is full of interesting and useful ideas, such as: “Build Your Own Organizer” this project may not be for the novice, but it will give you an idea of what can be done in such a small space. “Doubling Your Storage Space” has some really great ideas too!

But be warned, once you have caught the organizing bug, there will be no stopping you.

Looking for some great ideas for decorating the kid’s bedrooms? Well you could do no better than taking a quick look at the Style Kid blog.

On this blog there are some great ideas, some are fairly grand and complicated, while on the other hand there are some that come in with some great visual effects but are very reasonable in cost.

On this page there are some fantastic ideas, which look great, any child would love to have a room that
is decorated in this manner. But that is not all, because all of the rooms featured on this page actually cost $200 or less, which is incredible value.

It really great to find sites where they concentrate on design and value, after all if you spend hundreds of dollars on a room, it bound to look great.

Working at home. Getting started.

Getting started on your new life, which is working from home, is the most important step to take. This first step is taken by everyone and the way that they do it is specific to their own lives. This means that you may hear of how somebody else started off, but this may not suite you. The easiest way is take small tentative steps, if it works out fine, if it doesn’t that too is fine.

I found this posting on the Peculiar Club Blog by Kathryn Lang, is shows how she went about finding her ideal work at position. Its great that someone is so bold to share experiences with other people, these can have an influence on helping other decide how their future will pan out.

Dry those shoes out with the egg

This egg shaped device was spotted on New Launches; it is in fact a machine that removes the odor from footwear.

Apparently odor from shoes is created when bacteria is mixed with sweat from the feet. This is how it all starts, but getting rid of it once it has a grip on your shoes is a different matter. But fear not, for there may be a solution to this tricky problem.

Once again Japanese technology has risen to the challenge and found the answer, it is the Shoe Pure 100, and it does this by drying the shoes out and by passing some nice ozone through them. There are several modes to choose, but once it gets going within thirty minutes the shoes will be as fresh as a daisy.

So where is your home office

With the rise in people working from home whether it is a home business, freelance or teleworking for an employer, they all have one thing in common; they need a place to work from.

Now this may be a home office if you are lucky enough to have the space, but for most people adjusting to working from home can be an experience not to forget. There are many things that can help and hinder your progress, in some cases it has been known for some people at first to take up to eight hours just to do two hours work. It is all a matter of being organized and comfortable.

Pop Culture found a good link to CNN, the story is about a couple who work from home and how they do it, and as I have said before, you need to listen to people who have experience.

Fruity flash drives

Microdia the Hong Kong based manufacturer of wireless and memory products, have just launched a funny line of flash drives which have a definite fruity flavour to them, these flash drives are scented with the odour of real fruit. Or so they say on Gear Log.

The reasoning behind this is not very clear, but the fruity flavours are orange, strawberry, grape, or just green apple, now they are just getting your senses going aren’t they?

Each flash drive measures 4.3 cm x 1.8 cm, are of course USB 2.0 compatible and come in six memory sizes from 128 MB to 4 GB.
