If you are interested please do not contact us, get in touch with the sites owners <HERE>.

Great Hello Kitty Laptop

by David Allen 3 Comments

This may be just slightly over the top, but CHIP Chick likes it, so it cannot be all that bad now can it? This Hello Kitty special edition, which is limited to only 300 units. This is probably one of the only times that you can actually buy one of these laptops, because although you see them on the net, they are not available.

So what is in the laptop? 1 GB of RAM, 100 GB hard drive, DVD burner, 15.4 inch WXGA display, Windows Vista Home Premium, and a 1.6 Ghz AMD Sempron Processor.

Those are not bad specs, for a fancy computer that is pink, almost completely covered in Swarovski Crystals and only weighs in at 7.3 lbs.

Harry Potter and Business

by David Allen 1 Comment

Do you think that it may be possible that a certain Harry Potter could even help you and your business? Well according to a posting on eMoms at Home, Six things Harry Potter has taught me about Business! A good partner to have in business I would have thought.

There are some great ideas, and comparisons with scenes from the books or movies. It is quite fun way of taking things that you could possibly use in business and probably in life too. How real life and fiction can sometime cross paths, I suppose that it is probably a matter of personal preference.

What would be really interesting is what book or movie would you take pointers from in order to get on in business and life, lets see who can come up with the most unusual book or movie that they have taken notes from.

Temporary storage while working on your home

by David Allen Leave a Comment

While you do a major job, maybe replacing flooring or some other major alteration. It may be a good idea to move all of the furniture out of the room, preferably out of the house, as this would prevent too much furniture building up inside.

The alternative could be something found on Charles and Hudson, this solution is a temporary storage solution called PODS, these are like shipping containers, but what they do is delivery the POD, you fill it up and then they take back to their secure storage facility, until you are ready to have the POD returned.

An opportunity missed

by David Allen 2 Comments

When you are running your own business, you must be prepared to seize upon any opportunity that comes your way; after all you may not get another for some time!

Like with many entrepreneurs this exact situation happen only the other day to Lisa M Hendry who runs the Productivity at Home website. She found herself talking to a stranger in a store, who just happened to be in a similar business as her, and yet they did not exchange contact numbers or emails and so an opportunity may have passed her by.

This story is typical of how a chance meeting could lead to a future business opportunity, in order to maximize any opportunity that come along your way, you must be prepared to seized it with both hands, this means having your contact and business details with you at all times, in short a business card, that little piece of inexpensive card can open new doors for you, get some today.

Removing stains from a carpet

by David Allen Leave a Comment

While decorating it is sometimes unavoidable to have the odd accident every now and then. But what do you do if find that you have created a nasty looking stain on your carpet? Home Tips at Arca Max have some great ideas that should help out in this awful situation.

Obviously it would be easy to decorate without the carpet, but that is not always possible, and by even covering the carpet there are always little gaps and liquids would find a way through too.

Home Tips have some great suggestions, which include how to remove new stains that are still wet, and even how to lift off that dried in stain; this is probably the worst one to lift. They explain how to clean the areas without damaging the carpet itself, after all, who wants to spend time cleaning a carpet only to find that it has been ruined in the process?

Fishes in a bag

by David Allen 1 Comment

If you remember as child, either winning a gold fish from a fair ground or in fact buying a gold fish from pet stores. Then you are going to this product from the Spoon Sisters, they have put fish shaped soap into bag!

Well that is what may think they are at first! However this is in fact a vegetable based glycerin soap with a small plastic fish embedded into it, but it does look like a pet, and everyone else will think so too.

Makes a great gift, and will please anyone who receives it. Even though the soap has no scent at all.

Priced at $6.95.

How to organize your working day

by David Allen Leave a Comment

Probably one of the more important things to think about when working from home or even running a business from home is: Getting Yourself Organized. There are so many sites that tell you how to do this it is hard to fathom out what’s good and what is not.

I found this great site called Bootstrapper, and there is a page where organizing is given a
unique overall, some of the points you would already know, and some you find very strange. But this is thing about research, you take the bits that you like and that you can assimilate into your own life and then just discard the rest, what you are left with is a reasonable working plan.

What do you wear for DIY?

by David Allen Leave a Comment

This is a great post from Reluctant Memsahib, regarding DIY and what peop

le wear. Personally I just things as I am and be done with it.

Yet this blog is a personal life story, but this part is very funny and in the case of some men and DIY very apt indeed. It is nice to get an angle from a normal person, without any cover story, just normal people doing a normal thing. Mind you yellow goggles! Now is that normal?

It would be a great idea if we find out what everyone else wears when they do their DIY, naturally in some cases we do not want to go into to detail, especially from those who like to decorate with no clothing at all!
