Getting outside with your kids during any season is the key to making lasting memories. With Fall, the ideas literally ~fall~ from the trees– there are so many fun things to do with leaves! You can rake them, jump in leaf piles, take photos, go on a drive and look at the colors, and make lots of cute crafts. And personally, Fall is my favorite season to get out and do stuff! -Go to a pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin
-Go through a corn maze
-Bonfires and smores!
-Go on a hay ride

For their entire lives, women are told what to do by other people: what they are allowed to do, and what they shouldn’t do. This is never more true during pregnancy. Pregnant women receive SO much unsolicited health, parenting, and baby advice– usually from people they don’t even know. So I know that it gets old super old, and super annoying, super quickly. One thing I’ll always be thankful for is my years as a Girl Scout. I learned so much with them as I grew; camping and survival skills, social skills, basic cooking, business skills, a love for the arts, a passion for helping others and volunteering, how to manage my time and organize events- I could name things all night. And I made friends that I still have to this day. One of the most useful badges that I specifically remember getting was a First Aid badge. We learned basic first aid, CPR, and what to do in dangerous situations. (Seriously, sign your daughters up for a Girl Scout troop now).
I’m so glad that Fall is on its way. Where I live, the weather is either insanely hot and humid, or it’s thunderstorm-ing. We don’t really have an in between. As a result, I spend a lot of time indoors (and at the pool on the hot days, haha). I know how bad cabin fever can be, especially for kids. It’s important to have a backup plan for rainy days, and a whole slew of activities up your sleeve. But, it can be a bit hard to think of something on the spot. That’s why I love 
Everyone in the education field gets less credit (and salary) than they deserve. After all, they are the ones your kids are around for eight hours a day, and they are the ones responsible for keeping them safe and teaching them what they need to know. One person who is often undervalued is our school bus drivers. They get our kids to school and back every day, safely and on time. One of our closest family friends is a school bus driver, and he posted a Facebook update the other day about what he wishes parents and kids knew before riding the bus. Here are his tips:
