For their entire lives, women are told what to do by other people: what they are allowed to do, and what they shouldn’t do. This is never more true during pregnancy. Pregnant women receive SO much unsolicited health, parenting, and baby advice– usually from people they don’t even know. So I know that it gets old super old, and super annoying, super quickly. However, there are still some basic rules you should follow when pregnant to ensure the safety of your baby. Check out this post by Chelsea at Life With My Littles for a list of things that pregnant women should avoid at all costs:
-Smoking
-Drinking alcohol
-Drugs (duh)
-Don’t eat raw cookie dough, sushi, or anything else that may have uncooked or undercooked meat, eggs, or unpasteurized dairy products.
-Don’t clean the cat litter box yourself
-Don’t go to the nail salon; avoid places with strong chemical smells
