In the 18th century, many English country houses had a room filled with prints. These prints weren’t framed and hung conventionally. Instead, they were pasted directly to the wall and topped with a paper frame.
This concept may sound familiar. Several modern wallpapers feature a version of this design. And there was a room like this, filled with ancestors’ portraits, featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Now Stencil Library has created a line of Print Room stencils that give a modern twist to this centuries old design concept.
These would be fab for spaces like bathrooms and kitchens, where you’re loathe to apply wall paper for fear of peeling.
