And to be fair, these days, kids are often overloaded with too much work and too much information. However, as a parent, it’s our jobs to help them when we can. No, that doesn’t mean to do their homework for them, or to give them all the answers. It means to sit down with them, spend time with them, and keep them focused. The fact is, kids may not even know HOW to study effectively. Check out these tips by Amy Mascott at Teach Mama for how to make studying stress free:

-Re-write messy class notes together. Reading the information again and putting it into a neat format will help them grasp the material better

-Make a concept poster together- gather all the information, worksheets, etc., and put it all on a poster surrounding the central topic.

-Have your kids teach YOU the material!

-Make flash cards together, and use them!

-Have them turn their notes into drawings, doodles, and comic strips. This is super helpful if your child is artistically inclined and/or a visual learner.
