PC Vs. Mac: What's The Difference?

PerfectI often feel like I’m violating the Church of Geek by using a PC. I have a friend who has a MacBook, and while it seems really cool, I’m not really sure why so many Mac enthusiasts hold the level of vitriol they do for PC users.

Any time anyone I know posts that they are having trouble with their PC, the Mac users come in and say, “Next time, buy a Mac!” Oy. Because nobody ever has trouble with any Mac products, right? Nobody had any problems with Leopard? Heh.

So, seriously, in trying to understand this, tell me why are Macs so much better than PCs?

PC vs. Mac is like Coke vs. Pepsi or McDonalds vs Burger King: people usually either like one or the other, but rarely both, and it's usually the #2 product that's the one running the ads that make fun of the #1 product.

    Ron,

My question to you is this: What is a better use of time, doing required maintenance so you can get back to doing your work/play on your computer or simply just doing your work/play? I thought geeks where smart? At least that's what the stereotype for a Geek is… Glad to see you have us Mac people all figured out…

Actually, a real geek uses a PC with Linux. Macs are for people who can't be bothered to do simple computer maintenance necessary to keep Windows running. Mac users are the sorts of people who lease cars.
