During the winter time, it can be hard for kids to get the exercise that they need. If they’re cooped up indoors with no activity, it can lead to restlessness, irritability, and a decline in physical health. Where I live (in the south), it’s still in the 60s outside, so we are able to still go out. However, I know that lots of moms are in colder states, and I know that colder months are coming for me too! That’s why it’s important to be able to get your kids active indoors. For a list of fun things to do that will get you moving, check out this post by Becky Dempster at Parenting.com:
-Set up a number themed, string obstacle course
-Brain building animal poses- it’s a fun version of yoga for kids!
-Create an indoor hopscotch mat
-Blast some music and take a dance break!
