Most items are generally less expensive if you make them yourself. That’s why posts about DIY household cleaners, beauty products, and grocery staples are so popular. Buying a few cheap ingredients in bulk is much cheaper than buying an expensive small bottle of shampoo, or whatever you’re making. The same goes for pet food and treats. A box of doggie treats can go for $5-$20, depending on brand and size. To me, that’s just outrageous! Especially when a dog will consider most items that are already in your pantry a “treat” (they really love peanut butter!) That’s why I love this post by Sami Main at Buzzfeed!
