Most of the country is still smack-dab in the middle of a tight seller’s market. Houses are being snatched off the market within days of listing. While it can be the selling Realtor’s dream, it’s a buyer’s nightmare. How are you supposed to compete in bidding wars with real estate investors and other cash buyers? It may sound intimidating, but it can be done. Even if you’re not making a cash offer, you may win the bidding war if you stand out as a buyer. Check out this post by Blake Miller at the Trulia blog for tips:
-Submit your best offer first
-Be flexible and accommodating toward the seller, be willing to negotiate on closing costs, dates, etc.
-Show some personality- write a sincere letter to the seller, expressing your genuine love and interest towards their home.
-Be prepared to take the home “as is”.
