However, the world of real estate can be confusing, and it has its own set of lingo that can be difficult for newcomers to grasp. Certificate of Title- proves that the property is legally owned by the seller
Comps- properties that are comparable to your home. Used for determining market value.
Deed- proves transfer of ownership from seller to buyer
Escrow- This refers to the time period and process where the purchase funds are released and the transfer of the house between parties is completed.
Pre-qualification- your mortgage lender will tell you how much money you qualify to receive
