Murals On Exterior House Walls?

Home Business Idea: Photography

- Image via Wikipedia
Technology today makes it possible for nearly anyone to begin a home business as a photographer. With digital cameras, and the ability to make prints from sites like Shutterfly and other photo sites, it is possible for anyone with talent to provide photography services. If you have a talent for taking pictures, a knowledge of PhotoShop and a little business savvy, this can be a good home business for you. People are always looking for professionals for:
* Weddings
* Holiday parties
* Special events
* Milestones (high school graduation, etc.)
* Family portraits
In addition to this, it is also possible, if you have a certain level of professionalism and talent, to work providing photos for advertising, catalogues, corporate needs and industrial events.
One of my favorite pictures of my son was taken by a friend of mine who operates a home business as a photographer. She had a light kit she bought herself, backgrounds provided by colored sheets and props from around the house. All of this was in a room set aside for the purpose. She also excelled at outdoor photography, providing free natural backgrounds.
This is a great home business idea, and one that can be started with reasonably small expense. You might benefit from community photography classes and PhotoShop classes, though, to hone your skills.
The Three Life Lessons I Learned From My Cat
I’ve learned a lot about life, and I have a lot more to learn yet. But 3 of my best life’s lessons I learned from my cat.
1. Sleep is important. More important than we really know. When I’m not sleeping, I can’t seem to get anything together. I might have more time by not sleeping much, but I can’t get my act together anyway, so why bother? Sleep! Sleep!
2. You don’t have to do silly tricks for people to like you. See, dogs will go out of their way to make you like them. They’ll do silly tricks like sneezing on command, or dancing around in a circle. I used to be like that, but I realized that cats don’t do tricks at all and we still love them. Now I’m just myself whenever and wherever I go. People like me anyway. Awesome.
3. Speak softly and carry a large set of claws. Dogs go around barking all the time, but most of them won’t ever bite. They’re just loud and annoying. Cats, on the other hand (unless they’re a Siamese) only need to say things once. Then if they’ve had it with you, they whip out their claws and make their preferences known. This is much more effective than barking constantly, trust me.
What life lessons have you learned from your cat?
Old Fashioned Gardening- The Three Sisters Garden
Another one of those “better when grown together” type things is the “Three Sisters” garden– growing corn, squash, and beans together on a mounded hill. Why is it called “Three Sisters”? Hit the link to find out more.
What, No Pony?
Tell me, how many of you wanted a pony when you were a child? I’ll admit it, I wanted a pony in the worst possible way. Living in the city, my parents told me no, of course, but they did take me to visit my cousins in the country who had ponies and knew how to ride them.
My kids aren’t so lucky. They have no country cousins, so they not only don’t get a pony, but they don’t get to ride one either. Somehow, I don’t feel sorry for them.
Do your kids have a pony?
