Two Ingredient Dog Treats

by Kathy T.

There’s always a reason to treat your dog! Maybe a holiday is coming up, maybe they learned something new in training— or maybe they were just being extra cute. Whatever the reason, there’s no need to spend money on dried out dog treats from the store. You probably already have the ingredients for some super simple dog treats in your pantry already! Read this post by Nicole Cook at Daily Dish Recipes for some ridiculously easy, two-ingredient dog treats- in any flavor your pooch likes.

-2 cups of 100% whole wheat flour

-2 4oz. Jars of any-flavor baby food

-Mix together until it forms a dough

-Cut out with a cookie cutter

-Bake at 350 degrees for 20-15 minutes

by Kathy T.

Well, my cat always runs away from my 8 month old nephew- mostly because he likes to pull her fur out. This is adorable though!

Urine Trouble? Here’s A Solution

by Kathy T.

I love cats, and one of the most convenient things that cats do is use the bathroom indoors. If you have to go out for a couple of hours and leave the cat alone, they will be perfectly fine, and you usually won’t come back to any unpleasant surprises. Unfortunately though, because cats “go” inside, your house can stink up quite quickly if you’re not constantly changing litter. And- sometimes kitties have accidents. And it smells really, really bad. So- how do you keep a clean smelling home AND your cats? Try out this recipe from Pinterest! Here’s how to get rid of cat pee smell for good:

16 oz. Hydrogen peroxide

1 tsp dishwashing liquid

1 tbsp baking soda

-Mix together and soak area. Let dry and wipe up/ vacuum white residue. Cat smell = gone!

Friday Fun Video: Why You Should Be A Cat Person

by Kathy T.

Personally, I love cats and dogs equally- but I think I identify myself as more of a “cat” person. This is why they’re better 🙂

Bunny 101

by Kathy T.

Earlier today, I went to a friend’s house for dinner- and she surprised me by introducing me to her new pet. A bunny! She was extremely sweet and loved being petted by everyone. I’m actually allergic to rabbits, so I didn’t get to snuggle with her too much, but she was so cute that I couldn’t resist. Rabbits are some of the sweetest pets you can have- but they need a lot of care to keep them healthy and happy- like any pet. If you are thinking of getting a rabbit, be sure to keep the following in mind (found on this board on Pinterest) :

-Like dogs, bunnies need LOTS of space to live on and thrive. Don’t just stick them in a cage! Let them out to play whenever possible.

-A healthy rabbit diet consists of mostly (80%) hay. They should ideally eat a ball of hay that is the size of the rabbit’s body each day. Other foods the bunnies love are greens, and pellets. They should only be given treats like carrots and apples sparingly (once or twice a week).

-Rabbits are very sociable, fun-loving animals. They thrive with other bunnies- so consider getting your bunny a friend or two (they should all be neutered, of course!.) They also love attention from you, and need lots of toys to play with to keep from getting bored.

Meeting my friend’s new bunny and doing my own research has made me really want one. Too bad I can’t touch one without sneezing for an hour! I guess I’ll just have to live with my curse, and go over to visit her as often as possible 🙂
