Beware Of Road Rage

My hubby and I just got back from a get away in Orlando, Florida. I have to say it was quite an adventure due to the fact that we could have been shot at.

The very first night we were on our way to dinner and witnessed some major road rage. Two men that were right in front of us were out of there cars and going at it. They banged on each others cars, pushed each other, screamed and while doing this they were holding up the rest of us from getting were we were going.

With that being said I looked at my hubby knowing that his face was starting to turn red. I warned him "don’t you dare say a word" but do you think he listened? Nope. He stuck his head out of the window and yelled at the men to get back in there cars or he was calling the police.

The next thing I saw was one of the guys walk over and open his trunk and pulled out a gun. My whole life flashed in front of my eyes. I thought we are dead. Luckily, the other guy freaked out and jumped in his car and took off. The guy with the gun took off after him. We called the police and gave them the license plate numbers.

The moral of the story is keep your mouth shut. People are crazy and you never know what they are going to do. I already know this, I can only hope that my hubby learned a big lesson.

Just a little personal insight here; the other day I saw a person run a red light right next to me; a person I know very well who has schizophrenia. The moral of the story really is, there are crazy people out there; some have driver's licenses, some not, but they are on the road and they aren't always taking their medication. A good driver is a defensive driver!

It's a shame people have so little outlet in their lives that they let themselves be overruled by complete insanity like that.

Wonder what happened (not right then) that made that guy so incredibly angry inside?

It's a sick world out there and no matter how stupid people get, my philosophy is let them do whatever they want as long as they keep me out of it. I kind of value life 🙂

Chip a part of me totally agrees with you. They were acting like jerks and holding us up. I just had this feeling at the time and told my hubby to keep quiet, so when I saw the gun, it freaked me out.

    Thanks for the comment.

I'm with your husband, don't let people prance about, doing whatever they wish, tell them how it is!
Sure, some people are crazy, but what can you really do? I mean a piano can fall on your head at any given moment, too many variables to live in fear. Don't get me wrong, I believe that you should be nice and polite for the most part, but if two jerks are being jerky, and affecting my destination arrival, or whatever, I am probably going to say something. If he happens to pull a gun, well then let's just hope I have got some kind of gamma radiation exposure by then, and become very angry.
