Everyone in the education field gets less credit (and salary) than they deserve. After all, they are the ones your kids are around for eight hours a day, and they are the ones responsible for keeping them safe and teaching them what they need to know. One person who is often undervalued is our school bus drivers. They get our kids to school and back every day, safely and on time. One of our closest family friends is a school bus driver, and he posted a Facebook update the other day about what he wishes parents and kids knew before riding the bus. Here are his tips:
-Teach your children their address
-Make sure they know where their bus stop is
-Take your children to meet their bus stop
-Take the time to CALL your bus driver with questions and concerns. They are on a strict schedule, and if they take 5 minutes to talk to parents at each stop, it can make your kids late to school.
-Trust your bus driver, and let them do their job.
