Hardwood Floor Scratches
Different flooring has its pros and cons. Carpet is softer, doesn’t get as cold, and can bring comfort and homey-ness to a room. However, it can become easier dated, may stain easily, and is harder to clean. Hardwood floors are classic and elegant, bring higher property values, are MUCH easier to clean, and don’t become dated looking as quickly. But, they are more expensive, and they most likely will become scratched. For tips on minimizing the damage, check out this awesome post by The Flooring Girl:
-Take off shoes in the house
-Add entry mats at the door way, so water is not tracked in.
-Add felt pads to the bottoms of furniture
-Don’t use rolling chairs, or put an area rug under yours.
