Tell me, how many of you wanted a pony when you were a child? I’ll admit it, I wanted a pony in the worst possible way. Living in the city, my parents told me no, of course, but they did take me to visit my cousins in the country who had ponies and knew how to ride them.
My kids aren’t so lucky. They have no country cousins, so they not only don’t get a pony, but they don’t get to ride one either. Somehow, I don’t feel sorry for them.
Do your kids have a pony?
Uh, we have 34 “ponies” (1000 to 1350 pounds each, with spots) and I think 11 or 12 are DS’s. This is a great time to buy an equine, BTW, as the horse market has not been this depressed since the 1940’s. Seriously, if you ever gave horse ownership more than a fleeting thought, this is the time! Buyer’s market!
