If you’re getting married soon and about to expand your shak, then this post is for you. My best friend is getting married in October, and I’m her maid of honor, so I’ve been helping her plan everything for the past year or so. One thing that we’ve been working on is her wedding registry. There are tons of lists out there that tell you things you “absolutely must have”. But let’s get real- when was the last time anyone in this century used plate chargers, a gravy boat, or a pasta maker? Aim for quality pieces that you know you’ll use more than once a year. Check out this post by Christine Lu at Apartment Therapy for items that she actually uses five years later. Bonus- you can also use this for ideas if you are shopping for a friends registry:
-A knife block- one of the most easily accessible and most used things in the kitchen
-A heavy duty garbage can
-Nice linens
-Oven-to-table bakeware
-Storage bins
-Cordless drill and other tools
