9464098661_5cdf0bbbfa_zApartments are, as a rule, generally not a good place to have a dog. Unless you have someone there that can take him outside multiple times a day, dogs are going to get cooped up inside such a small space with no outdoor area. However, it is possible to keep a dog happy in your new apartment home. Just read these tips by Maria Salova at For Rent:

-Try to live on the first floor with a door that opens to the outdoors to keep bathroom breaks easy and consistent

-Try bringing in a real grass litterbox for your dog- bring the outdoors in

-Have a wet vacuum for when accidents happen (they will).

-Take your pooch to the dog park as often as you can

-Get another dog if you only have one- they need the company!
