One of my dogs, Libby, literally wolfs down her dinner every night. She has a huge plate and usually finished within a minute. We actually have to stand over and watch her to make sure she doesn’t steal Cocoa’s (little dog’s) food after she’s done. Needless to say, we’ve never had any trouble giving her pills when needed. We just kinda throw it in the wet food and it’s never heard from again. Cocoa, however, is a little more difficult. She eats very slowly and is pretty picky. To give her a pill, we usually disguise it in her favorite treat (CHEESE) and she eats it right up. However, if your dog is even pickier (or more likely, smarter), you might find this article by The Dogington Post helpful. It has a step-by-step photo guide to getting a pill in your dog’s mouth safely. Check it out here! Remember, you can also always ask your veterinarian for help, or for a liquid version of your dog’s medication.
