Growing up is hard, and most things you need to know are NOT taught in school. In high school AND in college, I never learned how to budget, how to save, how to plan meals and shop, or the steps to buying a home (or at least how to look for an apartment). You don’t even learn how to write a check or how to get a job. Why are there Driver’s Ed classes, that teach you a basic life skill, but no classes on the other things? That’s why first time buyers, or young adults, are usually clueless when it comes to the home buying process. It can seem extremely intimidating or even impossible. Well, fear no more! This guide by Katelyn Shibley at Evan and Katelyn is really in depth and comprehensive. It’s a pretty humorous take on the home buying process, written by a first timer who has already been through the whole experience. If you have absolutely no idea where to start, or if you’re a little fuzzy on the details, it is a valuable resource. Check it out!
