Last year, I lived in an apartment with an adolescent male cat, and a kitten. Now, I live in a house with two cats and two dogs. So, I understand what “bad pet odor” is. Cat urine, litter boxes, wet dog- I’ve lived with all of it. But, while I love my pets, and my house is always cluttered and messy, the one thing I can’t stand is a dirty house. Dirty dishes, trash everywhere, animal feces on the floors, roaches- the thought of it just makes my skin crawl. I don’t mind a little chaos, as long as the trash is where it belongs and the house smells clean and fresh. That’s why I love this post by Joanna at Jojotastic for DIY pet odor spray. Check out her recipe:
- 2 cups distilled water
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 10 drops lavender essential oil
- a few sprigs of dried lavender (optional)
Simply combine the baking soda and essential oils in a bowl with a fork. Fill a spray bottle with water and add the mixture along with dried lavender.
