I think the most important part of raising kids, after making sure they are healthy, safe, and educated, is to make sure they are happy and have great childhood memories. One way to do this is by doing unique things with your kids, like taking them new places and planning new activities. There are all kinds of “kid date” ideas out there, for moms and daughters, dads and sons, moms and sons, etc. Here are some of my favorites from Nicolette at the How Does She blog:
-Go to the pet store
-Go out for icecream
-Go somewhere and take pictures in a photo booth (malls and theaters sometimes have them)
-Zoo or aquarium
-Have a beauty day- go and get pedicures or your hair done
-Go to the park / playground, feed ducks, go on a hike
