Saint Patrick’s Day is usually not that fun of a holiday for kids, if I’m being honest. If they forget to wear green, they get pinched. You don’t get out of school or work, and there aren’t really any other traditions or activities associated with it. I remember one St. Patrick’s Day from when I was a kid, and it was the most fun I’ve ever had on the holiday. My teacher hid a bunch of chocolate coins around the classroom, and we were allowed to hunt for as many as we could find. It was super fun, and I think Saint Patrick’s Day is an opportunity for more activities like that. That’s why I love this post by Caroline Bologna at Huffington Post.
