Make Your Kid A Train Table From Stuff You Have Around The House
Little_e_ on Livejournal made this amazing train table out of leftover cardboard. What a great way to repurpose something that would normally go into the recycling bin! Way to go!

Basment Floors
I thought this was an especially interesting example of one person’s progress while redoing their basement. I really like the sunny color they used for the walls, and the white curtains cheer things up even more. The flooring job is really cool too.

Is Your Kid A Mylie Cyrus Fan?
My daughter’s nuts about Mylie Cyrus and I have to admit, I like her music too.

Musings On A Lightning-Lit Night
Lightning: phatman on Flickr
I love driving on a rainy, thunder-lit night. The first part of my drive was amazing. Beautiful lightning, thunder and one of my favorite CDs the soundtrack to my drive. I loved every second of it, that’s why I volunteered when my husband let me know that my oldest son needed to be picked up from band.
Then came the slightly less fun up. My son got in the car and started talking. No, I love to hear my son talk, but lately the only- and I mean ONLY thing he talks about is cars. Now, I like cars, but it being the only topic of conversation makes me bored really fast. I think between cars and girls, I’ve lost him for awhile. He’ll be back, he’s my son. But for now he’s lost in the world of cars and girls and more cars. I’ll let him stay there for awhile, I think.
The Frog And The Dog In The Bog
My kids caught a frog today. Not this frog, this is Some Geek in TN on Flickr’s frog. They played with it some, being very careful, left it outside, came in, washed their hands. Yay, frog, right?
Then I took my dog outside. He found the frog. And played with it. Not gently. The frog hopped away, but yikes. Poor frog.
