We had the best fish tank when I was a kid – except for when the crud struck the tank. We had swordfish, gourmies, black mollies, guppies, the faithful snails, and algae eaters. I’m sure we had others, too, but I’ve forgotten what they were.
Reading Sauce Off, Sweet and Sour’s post about being a fish killer almost inspires me to set up another tank. She set hers up with an angelfish (like her aunt had) and a few others, but only one survived,
It’s Saturday, and only Toby, is left. What have I learned from this experience?
- If I hang onto the dream of having an aquarium full of angelfish for fourteen years, and when I finally get an aquarium with full of fish other than angelfish, and every one dies save for the lone angelfish, then maybe it’s a good idea to only buy angelfish
- I’m not good at keeping small pets alive
- Filters are dangerous
- fish are stupid
