When I think about someone trying to find out the history of their home, I admit that I get a pretty intriguing picture in my head- snooping around in libraries, poring through dusty history books, digging out blueprints, and interrogating older neighbors. But the truth is, unless you have an old house with a mysterious past, it’s usually much less glamorous than that and can usually be done with a quick internet search or two.
