We have got to travel with our children as they’ve grown up, not as much as we wanted to but enough to get them out of state a few times. Our best trip was to Niagara Falls, New York (and Canada) but I also wanted to visit places like Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon with them. According to Parenting.com, there are several great places that could be considered “Must Sees” to take your kids before they grow up,
Let’s face it: This larger-than-life sculpture of the giant faces of four dead presidents is a bit odd. But it’s probably just strange enough to fascinate your children. Mount Rushmore is a tribute to the power, skill, and dedication of the nearly 400 men who worked 14 years to complete the 60-foot carvings of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, all chosen to represent the first 150 years of American history.
Maybe some day I’ll make it to Mt. Rushmore …
